We wanted to absorb it. All of it. The different marine and inland eco-systems, the different cultures, the different history. What we wrote is lengthy, but it seemed necessary to help us assimilate everything we experienced. It's so cool when you have the chance to look outside your own world. "Suffering is a great enhancer. It might last a minute, or a month, but eventually it subsides, and when it does, something else takes its place, and maybe that thing is a greater space. For happiness." - Lance Armstrong Yahoo! Check out the photos here. Alaska Cruise - September 2003Submitted by lori on Sun, 2003-09-28 08:00

While at home in Colorado, the blizzard of 2003 waged on, and Monty nervously anticipated the weight of 3 feet of wet snow bringing our back porch awning to the brink of destruction ... I met my two best friends in Thousand Oaks, CA, on Saturday, March 22. Christine drove in from San Diego and Roxanne flew in from Napa. It was a celebration from the get-go! Christine (who just finished medical school in Germany) found out she was accepted to the residency program at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. Congratulations, Christine! I traveled to Thousand Oaks, CA. on Friday, March 14, 2003 and spent the week hanging out with the Dorsey family and had a great time! Thank you Cathy, Scott, Andy, Nick and Matt, for your love and hospitality (especially the notes on the white-board in the garage!). We started the weekend off at Nick?s Junior Olympics swim meet. Nick really was awesome! I feel lucky that I got a chance to see Nick swim in competition. WrestlingSubmitted by monty on Mon, 2003-02-17 10:23

Skiing in Steamboat SpringsSubmitted by monty on Thu, 2003-01-02 00:20
We went to Steamboat Springs for a little pre-x-mas skiing. Check out the photos. We stayed at the Glen Eden resort (again). What a fantastic place. We had 2 excellent cabins. Dad, Lori, Lynn, Holly, and Lauren (2 of Lynn's friends) drove in from Denver. And, the Dorsey Clan (Scott, Cathy, Andy, Nick, and Matt) came from California. On Sunday we all headed to the Steamboat Springs ski hill. There was 9 inches of new snow! Powder, powder, powder. We skiied all day long. |
