Trail Ridge Road ... The Long Climb

Lori and I joined a few friends for a ride up Trail Ridge Road. We left Estes Park, CO at 8:00 am with 8 bikes in a good pace line. Three hours later were were on top of the pass trying to stay warm. The rest of the group headed West to Fraser, CO. They planned to ride over Berthoud Pass back to Estes Park the next day. Lori and I headed back to Estes Park from the top of the pass and made it down in under an hour. It was a great day for a ride!
You may remember last October we sent some emails with details about a friend who was going to ride in the Tour Of Hope cross country bicycle ride for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Stefanie completed the Tour with her "Team Viva" and got to meet some of the cycling greats along the way. The ride this weekend was planned as a to get together with some of the others who also rode in the event. Stefanie is now battling cancer again. Even so, she was able to complete the 2 day ride this weekend (day one was 86 miles and day two was 114 miles)!
Here are some photos. We shamelessly stole some of them from Thomas & Stefanie.
